Ah, the great outdoors. How wonderfully terrible it can be at times. In a matter of seconds a spring paradise can be lost into a hellish haze of rain and clouds. But in the end reality is a matter of perception. That is why Welter Shelter is here to turn even the worst spring shower into a warm piece of heaven.
The Spring/Summer 2016 collection by jacket innovators Welter Shelter is crafted with lightweight materials that will keep you dry and stylish no matter the conditions.
British Millerain fabrics and Italian cotton mixes are all made fully waterproof while maintaining maximum breath-ability by adding our signature membrane with taped seams underneath the outer layer of fabric.
This season we have added a sunbeam yellow dry bush wax anorak trench for men and an A line hooded jacket for women. Waxed cotton is traditionally not 100% waterproof and seams are hard to tape because the wax will come off. Together with British Millerain we found a solution and coated all bush wax fabrics with a MILAIR technical membrane to achieve the same performance as fully 3 layered technical fabrics.
For both men and women we are also introducing the Long Bomber, a modern take on the classic bomber, lengthened for optimal protection and style, while our iconic Long Dong trench (men) and Long Tube (women) are executed in a range of light, technical, summer proof fabrics.
