“Pleasant Education”
A visit to the Denham store in the the heart of Amsterdam is always a “pleasant education”
it had been over five months since I last dropped by the store, so I was looking forward to seeing new and interesting Collections.
And I must say I was not disappointed in what I saw. My guide as always was the delightful Vivian, head of PR and Marketing in The Netherlands.
Her knowledge of product, style and Denim History, is second to none.
On this visit I took a closer look at the women’s wear collection.
The current women’s collection reflects a more feminine side, in both use of fabric and colour.
I was told, there is no real “Denham woman” the collection is aimed at a very wide age range. It's not unusual to see women in their early twenties along with other in their late forty’s or early fifty’s.
But what I think unites them all, is the love of stylish well made garments with amazing attention to detail.
And with that in mind, this collection was design in part by Denham's new Woman's wear designer Marianne Fay, who has worked for Alexander McQueen / Aquascutum / Karen Millen / currently Heading up ladies All Saints. She will take her post up at Denham full time for the Fall 13 collection.
While I was there I was also happy to be come a proud owner of a pair of Denham's CROSSBACK Jeans, as with the design of their products, their customer care is excellent, and I was in good hands when making my selection.
In the current financial climate Denham is growing faster and faster, a evidence of which is the opening of their second store in Japan ( A happy hunting ground for them). The Store is located in : 2-10-70 Namba naka, 4th floor Osaka, Japan.
