Café Tapmarin
So, if you are looking for a Bar in Amsterdam that combines the charms of an old Amsterdam neighbour cafe with great food then Café Tapmarin is for you.
Situated in the former working class area of the Pijp in Amsterdam. Café Tapmarin is a great example of positive gentrification of a neighbour. The bar is welcoming to locals and tourist alike. And this is reflected in the mix of cliental.
On the evening I visited with a friend. We were greeted by friendly youthful staff who by their demeanour showed they love their jobs. And their job is serving many popular beers and spirits. And great burgers.
We ordered a couple of local beers along some really tasty Patriot burgers and side of Patriot fries.
Patriot fries are an outrageous melange of hand cut French fries, crispy bacon, spicy pepper sauce, mayo, cheese, cappers, chipotle, ketchup and BBQ sauce. So, bad it had to be good!
So after your visit to the Albert Cuyp market or the Heineken brewery, then really checkout this great bar in the same neighbour, you won’t be disappointed.
I must note that Burgers are only sold from 5pm to 9pm 7 days a week.
