These Cavemen Present Chapter IV High-Stake Hollow
The Amsterdam-based film/fashion collective named Cavemen proudly present their latest film in which their vision for this year’s season is showcased in a three minute online short combined with a photo series. High-Stake Hollow narrates the story of a captured protagonist which is guided by a bounty hunter and his complies. After a rough voyage trough impressive Spanish landscapes, the protagonist is exchanged with a seemingly Asian crew of which the female head will eventually seal his fate. In this film, dominated by men, the female chief has a leading role which points towards a matriarch society.
This concept is a smelting pot of both Eastern and Western influences which collide in a fictional world shot at unrecognizable locations. The styling of both the set and the attire is inspired on Argentinian Gaucho culture combined with elements that originate from traditional Japanese culture. The combination of East and West pays homage to Sergio Leone & Quentin Tarantino. In terms of style, the combination of menswear, traditional attire and it’s nod to streetwear makes for some pleasing looks for this season, utilizing pieces from Et al. Design, Harmony Paris, Renard Watches, Denham and Marc O’ Polo.
